In this research paper I analyzed two options for creating parts using CAD environment software. The use of Generative Design and Topology Optimization is meant for parts that require an improvement of weight and the shape of the part without changing the role the it has in an assembly. Many design solutions are created when using Generative Design, these can vary depending on the material, constraints, loads and manufacturing method, it is up to the designer to choose the most suitable solution. The software tools available can significantly reduce the time a part spends in the design stage, improve the mass of the part and reduce the total manufacturing costs. At the end of the study, the parts met the imposed requirements and had a reduced mass of up to 60% of the initial part.
