Research on internal cylindrical honing of long holes

The research paper’s starting point is the piece of the draft license – pneumatic cylinder with code 2018.R2-001-0, with the measurements Ø 100 x Ø 120 x 570 – of which, for minimizing interior surface roughness parameters, Ra and Rz, and, for obtaining precision of the geometric figure and of the imposed diameter in the execution drawing – for the length of 570 mm, at the end of the technological process, the cylinder is applied with an operation of inner honoring. The research paper presents an introduction to honing theory in general with the presentation of honing of the long bores and the presentation of the actual situation of the interior honing procedure. In the end it is also presented the designing process of a guidance device and fixing for a pneumatic cylinder with the code 2018.R2-001- 0 for honing.
