Depending on the dimensions, weight and characteristics of the product to be packaged, the methods of stacking and transport, the size of the packaging, the material used and the ideal construction of the box must be decided. For increased efficiency, the packaging must be chosen so as to comply with all conditions of strength, safety and aesthetic conformity, made with minimal effort and consumables. The use of a formula for calculating the strength of cardboard packaging, as well as the realization of a program for calculating the BCT (Box Compression Test) value according to the dimensions of the box and the quality of the corrugated cardboard used in its production is both to the advantage of economic agents and users. reduces material consumption. At the same time, testing the strength of the boxes on special machines that simulate the possible causes of damage reduces the risk of further damage.
