Research regarding injection molding of polimers for functional decorations using additive manufacturing and generative design

This paper presents the results of our research regarding the conceptual roadmap and industrial implementation, starting from marketing and economic impact of the product: functional ornament. This product represents an ornament with a general function of holding your desk accessories, adapted to the current needs of the modern person in the present global context, allowing the display of ambient temperature as well as body temperature. This concept makes our product more user friendly compared to existing products on the market, having integrated innovative and intelligent systems. For making this product, we used advanced additive manufacturing and generative designing techniques in order to obtain an economical advantage and the growth of our product’s global competitiveness.
