Plastic deformation represents one of the widely applied operations in the industry. Therefore, the study aims to describe the mechanism of a horizontal press from multiple points of view. By using the MathCAD software application, we carried out the kinematic analysis of the press, also obtaining some diagrams which illustrate the variation of the kinematic parameters according to the position of the ram (slider). Furthermore, after accomplishing a model representing this mechanism, we presented the assembly process and the kinematic elements.
