In this paper are presented the most important aspects related to stroke vascular accidents, a very serious condition that usually occurs in eldelry people, as well are existing recovery methods and techniques to bring the person in trouble to a normal level of life. Recovery therapies are complex and are based on kinesiotherapy and assistive equipment, which in some cases can be successfully purchased and used at home. Assistive technology facilitates people with disabilities access to physical, informational and communication enviroments. People with diferent types of disabilities can use a range of devices and equipment to help improve or supplement certain functions of the body, expand the sphere of activityand improve their social participation.
