A brief presentation and other general elements regarding the professional disease called silicosis are presented in the paper. The definitions of occupational diseases, elements of silicosis, radiological images, records and statistics registered up to 2018, treatment principles, risk factors, injury and occupational disease risk assessment, prevention and protection measures give consistency to this paper.
