Studies regarding a system of 72 retroreflectors placed on different support plates were conducted at CETAL-Vibrometry LAB. Based on the experimental data few self-assembled systems were designed and modeled on CAD Software. The validation tests meant to identify the resonance characteristics of each model were used to adapt the designed geometry of the plates and the flexible parts of the joints. Three models of self-assembling systems have been designed and theirs functions were simulated to fulfill the specific loading requirements. All the necessary data used to establish the appropriate design of the self-assembled system were included in databases that will be improved in the future.
