The analysis which is presented in the following research paper emphasises the importance of understanding / knowing the packaging not only at a macro-level, but also from a microscopically point of view. By answering of some ecological issues in food packaging design, others related to toxicity and/or of a different nature, harmful to the food consumer, have emerged. In the paper are presented both the mechanisms of particle migration to the food, from the components which make up the food packaging, and also, solutions of new materials with a lower degree negative impact.
