This paper deals with the modeling and simulation of electron and ion beam machining. A dedicated software was used for finite element modelling and simulating device working. In this application the coil was modeled to simulate the variation of the magnetic flux and how it affects the trajectory of the beam by changing the number of coils and the intensity. Also, an ion implantation system was modelled and simulated where the effects on the surface of the product were analyzed. The obtained results showed that for low intensities it is recommended to be used for drilling operations, and for high intensities it is recommended for heat treatments, and the ions are less affected by the magnetic field of the coil as opposed to electrons.
