This scientific paper aims to design an algorithm and create a computer application that aims to assist and monitor the choice of machine tools for planning activities in a manufacturing system. This application is built in LabVIEW, a visual programming language development environment from National Instruments. The application also uses notions of HTML / CSS for the graphical user interface, but also the extraction of information, related to machine tools, from a database created in Microsoft Access. The goal is to integrate all the elements mentioned above in a web service, so that the application is dynamic and can be used by several people at the same time not only locally
