This study presents the current state of EDM processing, of logic fuzzy and the possibility of analyzing the microgeometry of the processed surface. To grow performances of the EDM process, a program for operating the electroerosive system advance has been developed, applying fuzzy logic and using as monitoring process parameter the tension in the processing gap. The results of the simulation of such a program were presented, for the fuzzy sizes considered. The analysis of the microgeometry of the electroerosive processed surface was carried out by means of a program for recognizing the shape of craters generated by discharges, applying to the original image a filter and searching all crater areas of the initially set size. The results of running the program provide an image of the performance of the EDM process
