The paper presents current theoretical and practical considerations regarding the transformation of longitudinal ultrasonic waves into torsional waves with the help of helical-shaped concentrators, integrated in ultrasonic chains with usual transducers for longitudinal waves. The strategic marketing of the product is presented to determine the needs resulting from interviews and to obtain the product characteristics. Potential customers were also located. The concentrator variant was modeled and the propagation of ultrasonic waves within them was simulated, using finite element analysis with the dedicated program, Comsol Multiphysics. The influence of the geometric elements of the concentrators on the amplification of the oscillations and on their own frequency was studied, in order to obtain the resonance condition necessary for the realization of the ultrasonic chains.
