The development of services and the introduction of new technologies and work equipment in the manufacturing process have led to the improvement of concepts and ideas regarding working conditions, of the conduct of work in a safe environment where noise is a general problem present in the work environment. The number of work-related accidents and occupational diseases has declined in recent years. The present paper aims to illustrate practical measurements of noise at work and its influence on the reduction of hearing on a worker. It also looks at what general measures the employer can take regarding the safety and health protection of workers, the prevention of occupational hazards, the information and training of workers, and the organizational framework and the means necessary for the health and safety at work.
