The abilities and competences of a university studies graduate play a very important role in a successful career and they are very demanded by employers during the recruitment process.Graduates of university studies have high expectations on their future career and they don’t hesitate to ask themselves „What competencies are needed in the labour market today?”This research is an analytical approach and it is trying to answer this question.In order to collecting data, a questionnaire was elaborated.There were 100 answers of graduates of university studies, from different fields.Analyzing the results, the conclusion is that the graduates need to pay more attention to their social relationships with other people, to be able to organize their activities, to avoid the overstress and last but not least to take into account the fact that employers pay more attention to multilingualism.
