A laser device is a prototyping and manufacturing tool used mainly by engineers, designers and artists to cut and engrave a wide range of materials. The quality of the cutting and engraving process and, consequently, the quality of the resulting edge are governed by parameters related to the laser system, materials and process. Data are analyzed regarding the technical advancements in the field of CO2 laser processing on different types of materials and the steps required to properly prepare files that can affect the quality of cutting and engraving.
