The paper presents the study carried out in a printing house in order to determine the possibilities of optimizing the printing flows, with the ultimate goal of increasing labor productivity. Thus, pertinent conclusions could be drawn regarding the management of the printing houses. The possibilities that the printing house manager has to organize human resources, production and other related activities are analyzed, by delegating the authority, but also by exercising control in different phases of the manufacturing process. The Ishikawa diagram was used to identify the causes of nontimely execution of customer orders. The economic efficiency of the application of labor norms is also studied. The optimization of the polygraph processes on the flow supposes the organized rearrangement of the equipment, of the jobs, of the operators through an advantageous location of the production system and the obtaining of an improved variant of the typographic flow.
