The aim of this paper is to create a laboratory application, through which the maximum normal stress in a equal stress beam loaded in simple bending can be determined experimentally. Then, the value obtained experimentally will be compared with the corresponding one resulting from the numerical calculation as well as with the one obtained analytically.
