Aspects regarding the construction and operation of surgical robots

Surgical robots give doctors easier access to unreachable areas of patients' bodies, using precise and less invasive devices. Robotic surgery can be applied in all surgical specialties, but especially in branches such as gynecology, urology and general surgery. The daVinci Xi robot is a computerized system designed to streamline and improve the surgeon's performance in the operating room. It brings amazing benefits for both surgeons and patients. The daVinci Xi represents the latest technology in terms of robots used in surgery. This paper aims to present some basic aspects related to surgical robots, especially the daVinci Xi robot, which will highlight their role and benefits both patients and surgeons.
