This is a highlight what gears are, their role in the industry, what pitting represents and what effects it has on the gears of a gearbox during operations, lubrication of the gears and the role of the oil in the gearbox. In order to highlight the pitting effect on the gears, a specific test will be performed on a dedicated bench to the gearbox testing, after wich the optained data will be processed, necessary to perform the gears analysis if it is necessary to improve any changes in material or treatments are expected, in order to bring qualitative improvements to the gearboxes or reduce costs
