Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a non-traditional machining process based on removing material from a part by means of a series of repeated electrical discharges between tools, called electrodes, and the part being machined in the presence of a dielectric fluid. This paper aims to develop a specialized equipment for the filtration of environmentally friendly dielectric liquids that can be assembled on any classic EDM machine, due to the modular design. The paper deals with aspects of strategic marketing, project management, specification, conceptual design, marketing and product recycling
